Reunite with Your Family in Canada: Your Guide to the Dependent Visa

Hoping to Join Your Loved One in Canada? The Dependent Visa Makes It Possible. Our experts will guide you through every step of the process—making your journey smooth, stress-free, and focused on reuniting with family.

The Canada Dependent Visa is designed to help families stay together while living in Canada.
This immigration pathway allows spouses, common-law partners, dependent children, and other eligible family members of Canadian citizens or permanent residents to join them in Canada.

To be eligible, the sponsoring family member must meet certain income and residency requirements and commit to supporting the dependent financially. The visa process considers the relationship between the sponsor and the applicant, documentation, and the sponsor’s ability to meet sponsorship obligations.

There are different categories under the Dependent Visa stream, including:

  • Spouse or Common-Law Partner Sponsorship

  • Dependent Child Sponsorship

  • Other Eligible Relatives (in specific cases)

Whether you’re joining a partner or bringing your children to Canada, this visa is your path to family reunification and a new life together.
