Launched in 1998, the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is a highly popular way to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker.

The program lets Canadian provinces and territories pick candidates who have the expertise and skills required to contribute to their local economy.

There are 2 kinds of PNPs- the Express Entry Stream and the Non Express Entry Stream.

The steps to apply

Express Entry Stream

In this stream, you must have an active Express Entry Profile and show the province and territories you are interested in.
If your occupation is under the demand list of any province, the specific province will send you the “Notification of Interest” based on their selection criteria, and you need to accept it electronically.
After accepting the offer, Province will send a “Nomination Letter,” which gives additional 600 points and almost guarantees the ITA (Invitation to apply) through the Federal draw for a Permanent Residence visa.
